Fake lashes!

First off, I'm turning this into a beauty blog (with some pictures of Paula Abdul thrown in :-). Happy :-) Now, the meat: Fake Lashes!

Happiness is a pair of fake lashes :-)

And to finish, here's a day maker: Paula & Christian

If that doesn't make you happy, you need help :-)

That's just salt in the wound

About a year ago it was announced that J.lo would be the permanent replacement for Paula Abdul on American Idol. Need less to say, I was not happy at all about this, but I dealed. Seeing J.lo on every imaginable ad has been almost as bad, but still, I have dealed. And then a couple of days ago, I turned on HSN (which USED to be one of Paula's gigs) and saw this.

Ouch.

Nail Nerd

I find myself slowly becoming a nail nerd. I am doing the unimaginable for me: A HAUL POST!!!! I know, I know, I don't do haul posts, but this just screamed. Up first: I am doing something totally crazy. I am getting into acrylic nails. Well, acrylic 3d decorations at least. So, naturally, I had to go spend $43 on stuff for yet another hobby. Haul photo:
The big box is acrylic powders and a bottle of acrylic liquid for 3d nails.

This looks orange in the pic (dang ipod camera) but it's really a gaw-gus peach. I had been on the hunt for peach nail polish at all day and finally found this at walmart. It's by Pure Ice (who don't name their polishes) but you should be able to find it at walmart.

This is a very pretty creme lavender I've been hunting for for FOREVER. This is Sally Hansen Extreme Wear 4860-60 Lacey Lilac. I first saw this color on Orianthi's nails in her video for according to you. I've been trying to find it and no luck till today. I think I'll wear these colors together. If I can get the lavender to go opaque on top of the peach, these will be GORGEOUS french tips.

An Open Letter To Mattel

Dear Mattel,

As a lifelong fan of your products, I write this with frustration, but no intention of discontinuing my time as a customer.

I recently purchased your "Couture Angel Barbie Doll" and am quite frustrated. Although the doll is absolutely gorgeous, I spent almost 1 hour trying to remove her from the packing, and remove all the packaging from her. I have been a lover of Barbie dolls all my life and have spent a considerable portion of my life trying to get Barbie dolls out of their boxes. I have even spent time trying to get Barbies out of their boxes for a young cousin. The packaging problem is different depending on the type of Barbie. In the case of collector Barbies, when packaging these beauties, please keep in mind that if we, as collectors, actually remove these dolls from the boxes, we want to do as little damage as possible. This is quite difficult when delicate, feathered wings are strapped in with plastic t-bar ties the size of pinheads. Words are insufficient to try to explain removing t-bar ties so small you can't see them, trying to get slightly bigger ties of the same type out of a doll head, unstitching a dress, and unstrapping arms and legs all without damaging perfectly styled hair and a very well puffed dress. And that's just collector dolls. There's a whole 'nother category for trying to get a thoroughly overpackaged doll out of it's box while there's a three-year-old hanging on your leg. Ripping the stitching out of doll hair takes long enough already, and to a young kid that's even longer.
I am aware that the reason you package Barbies like this is the horrible shoplifting problem in the country, but it seem like there must be a better way.

Sincerely,
Peetey Graves
A Very Annoyed Customer

Just showing off!

I just had to stop and show off my wonderful fake nails:
I painted them myself!
And the shoes of the century:
Can you tell that these are my favorites? They've been trough quite a lot, which explains why they look so bad. Mom has been trying to make me get rid of them, but I'm not giving in yet.

Fixing the cliff hanger

In prep for possibly auditioning for "Live To Dance" next year. That's why.

Hi all!

I just thought I'd post and say hey since i haven't posted in awhile. Yes, it really is what time the "Posted At" time says. Just another normal really late night. I have completely fallen in love with my new iPod touch. (Why isn't there a blogger app yet???) I'm sitting here right now listening to OneRepublic's "All I Need" while I type this. Boy do I love them. Ryan's SO cute and all their music is wonderful. If you've never heard of them (Gasp!) LOOK THEM UP! I have to stop now and put my favorite video of theirs to the greatest song ever:

Good for your bad days.

I am SO sore. I am perpetually sore. Comes with the territory I guess. I'm dancing like a crazy girl in prep for...well..I'll tell you tomorrow. I must go to bed.

I love my life!

I love my life. Like really love my life. While in South Carolina moving nanie mabel, Uncle Brant gave me bunch of authentic star trek collectables(hello eBay!)and almost 2 dozen 1980's transformers. My grandpa's mom, granny gave me this new iPod touch, wich I'm posting from rit now. I had really good trip to SC. To say the least. But as I was saying, I love my life. Right now I am sitting on my floor at 11:45 PM, watching last week's episode Of "Live To Dance", trying to figure out an old optumus prime, and posting this on my new iPod, in my house on a canal in Florida, with a swimming pool in the backyard. I mean really. I have no right whatsoever to complain about any thing in my life. At all.

Photo sorting

I spent last night going through the "My Pictures" folder on my computer. Somewhere in between the moments of "Oh that's where that went" and pictures of Josh Groban, I actually managed to get some real sorting done, although I have a very lazy sorting technique which results in the folder being sorted having more occurrences of the word "Stuff" that a snapple commercial.

Missed me??? Tell me you missed me? TELL ME YOU MISSED ME! Thank you.

Hi world. I haven't posted in so long I can't really believe it.Where to begin...I'll start with Christmas. I made a pretty nice haul this year, with an equal amount of nerdy and fashionista gifts. Good year. Alright...on to ballet.
I get the Arabian dance from the nutcracker for the recital this year. WOOHOO! And I get to do a split in the recital. Another WOOHOO! The human rubber band strikes again.
And in other news:
We are moving my great grandmother from SC to FL. It's VERY icy in SC. This should be a very interesting trip.
I am slowly but shurely getting into the swing of Paula Abdul's new show, "Live to dance". Oh reality TV, how I've missed you. Note to readers: Please watch "Live to dance" and help me get the show more viewers.
And my new feature: creative sound, the list of audio I listen to while I type my posts.
